The Lodge booking system and its current rates are fully described in the Ruapehu Information Sheet.
How do I book? Can I book a bunkroom?
Contact our booking officer Alison Newbald on Ruapehubookings@hvtc.org.nz at least 24 hours prior to the desired date, or by phone 027 451 2587 and leave a message with booking details if there is no reply.
When you arrive at the lodge, you will be able to see which bunks are available on the whiteboard by the door to the stairs. It is not possible to pre-book particular bunks or rooms.
How do I pay?
Please pay promptly by direct credit to the HVTC Ruapehu account 03 0543 0036501 03. Add your name and date of stay in the detail lines. If the payment is for a group, please send names and their night(s) of occupancy by email to Ruapehubookings@hvtc.org.nz.
Please be prompt with your payments as this helps greatly with reconciling lodge fee payments and avoids issues around following up with those who might have overlooked the need to pay.
Complete the visitors’ register every night you stay
This is a red ring binder folder which lives on the sideboard in the lounge. Please fill this in this every night so we know who is staying. It is the record of who is in the lodge should there be an emergency such as a fire.
