As a special introductory offer you are invited to bring a non-member friend or friends to the
HVTC Ruapehu Lodge during the 2010 winter season (5 June to 4 October 2010) and your friend or friends will pay only the club member’s rate of $38 per night for their first weekend.
This is a reduction of 20% on the normal non-member rate of $48 per night!
If you are a club member or a new club member and have never been to the Ruapehu Lodge then why not plan a weekend up the mountain at a special rate of $30 per night for your first weekend.

Head up to the Mountain Anytime this Winter - Our Custodian Tim is in Residence
If you are thinking of heading to the mountain this winter, but don't want to be in the lodge alone, or you don't want to have to start up or shut down the lodge, then there is good news for you. We have a Custodian, Tim, staying at the lodge all winter...the lodge will be warm when you arrive. So... if you want to go skiing, just check with the booking officer (email above) that there is space, make a booking, and head on up.
AUGUST 16 TO 20 : FAMILY TRIP
During this week Club members who have pre-school, kindergarten or junior school children, and any of their friends with children of this age, are invited to bring them along on the Family Trip.All those who enjoy being around young children are equally welcome. If the parents wish to ski, snowboard etc., there are always adults in the Lodge to look after the young ones. In addition, the experienced Club parents are happy to help teach the young ones how to enjoy the snow.

AUGUST 21 : HVTC CLUB SPORTS
Come and enjoy the reinstated Club Sports especially for the youngsters, with optional added participation by adults.

AUGUST 23 TO 27 : UNIVERSITY TRIP
This is the week when university or senior school offspring of Club members and Club members who are themselves in that group,together with their friends, are invited use our Lodge while they enjoy the winter sports on Ruapehu. The presence of their parents is not essential, as there will be responsible persons in the Lodge during that time. Come and enjoy good times and good company.

AUGUST 30 TO SEPTEMBER 3 : ALLCOMERS TRIP
This trip is for all grown-up Club members, relatives and friends who are in the lucky position of not having to go to work or who can get away from work for a week. You do not have to indulge in winter sports, but you can if you like. It is the week when you can enjoy
good company away from the stresses of normal life, sit on the deck in the sunshine and watch the skiers and snowboarders whiz by or go for a walk to Lorenz’ Café. The tall tales told by the regulars on this trip are worth the trip in themselves.
